This month marks 21 years since the Prince of Wales Children’s Hospital in Randwick officially became known as the Sydney Children’s Hospital.
And as part of their birthday celebrations, Daily Fresh Randwick have come to the table to provide free fresh fruit to staff, volunteers, patients and their families.
Since 2015, Daily Fresh Randwick have kindly donated their quality produce to Sydney Children’s Hospital, offering those who work, visit or reside at the Hospital with a delicious vitamin boost by handing out fresh mandarins, apples, oranges, bananas and more.
As part of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN), the Network cares for thousands of kids each year in their hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.
Taking place on site this month from the 24th-28th June, the 21st Anniversary celebrations will include as series of fun events which aim to bring together the SCHN community.
Nick, owner of Daily Fresh Randwick, said he was thrilled to help out.
“It’s nothing huge but every little bit counts. The staff [at Sydney Children’s Hospital] do an amazing job there and the kids are an inspiration to everyone. I’m just glad I can help in some way.”
